The world’s oldest bottled single malt whisky, Mortlach 70 Year Old / 1938 - which is also the first ever 70-year-old Single Malt Scotch whisky bottled for retail sale, is making its way to Singapore this November.
Released under Gordon & MacPhail’s ‘Generations’ brand and bottled at cask strength - 46.1% Alcohol By Volume (ABV), there are only fifty-four (54) 70cl bottles and hundred and sixty-two (162) 20cl bottles in the world, but only one (1) of each will be brought to Southeast Asia.
Proudly presented in Singapore by La Maison du Whisky, Mortlach 70 Year Old is undeniably one of the most sought-after whiskies by collectors and enthusiasts around the globe.
“We are honored to be offering this rare opportunity to taste this exceptionally rare whisky,” commented Jeremy Moreau, General Manager, La Maison du Whisky Singapore.
The colour of sun-bleached polished mahogany, this precious liquid is described by whisky connoisseur Charles MacLean, as “a delicate, fresh, vital, fruity whisky, with unusual attributes of waxiness and smokiness”.
