7 July 2011 – Ten out of over 200 photographs depicting Singapore were chosen as the best submissions to the MySingapore photo contest. With renowned photographer Willy Foo as the acting judge, each winner was awarded a pair of Cathay movie passes.
The winning photos depicted various iconic Singaporean structures, from the Marina Barrage to the Infinity Pool to the ArtScience museum. Chosen for their quality and aesthetic representation of Singapore, the photos can be viewed on the ComeSingapore.com website (http://comesingapore.com/travel-guide/article/653/comesi ...), its facebook page, and Willy Foo's public facebook page.
The My Singapore photo contest was run to promote community-generated content submissions on the ComeSingapore.com website. As the contest was an open competition, both amateur and semi-professional photographers took part in capturing familiar Singaporean scenes.
The campaign successfully helped to publicize ComeSingapore and expand its photo gallery.
